Position Summary:

Seeking a Prototype Production Coordinator with strong communication skills, who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Assists production and sales with various technical and administrative tasks related to the sampling process. The position would require strong organizational skills to be able to supervise the sampling process each day and ensure the timely completion of all prototypes, first article samples, and sampling revisions. In addition, it will include the task of consistent data entry in an ERP system.

Role qualifications:

· 2-4 year college degree preferred

· 2 years’ related work experience would be ideal

· Some previous project management style work experience in a manufacturing setting.

Position Responsibilities:

· Assist with the daily submission of prototype orders.

· Preform file and data review as it pertains to the entry of sample requests

· Assists with file storage and organization in the system

· Provides sales rep. with updates on all prototype-related matters such as scheduling dates, current status, tooling timelines, completion dates, and material delays.

· Provides daily reports to the sales team via Microsoft Excel.

· Coordinates with production staff to track the status of prototypes and production samples

· Maintains continuous communication with various departments that contributes to completion of various projects

· Follows up with warehousing personnel on material as it pertains to running prototype samples and production samples

· Processes change requests in the system as required

· Project Management on jobs when requested or needed for a specific project. This includes involvement with assembly projects from start to finish.

· Correspond with customers as needed in relation to the sampling process.

· Provides customer service support as needed and requested by the sales rep.

· Performs research as needed for the sales rep. such as pulling files, scanning and emailing.

· Works directly with customers (on behalf of the sales rep.) on sample shipments and resolves questions related to shipping instructions and communicates changes from customers internally.

· Create packing slips for prototype orders as requested and sends to customers.

· Provides confirmation of prototype shipping with tracking numbers to clients.

· Able to assist with the daily UPS and FedEx shipments related to outgoing samples

· Able to help create boxes and inner pack for the outgoing samples as needed

· Comfortable spending large parts of the day out on the factory floor supervising the timely processing of samples

· Manages a catalogue of sample retains for both production and sales purposes

· Will need to work with engineering files and drawings from time to time.

· Employee may be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Essential skills and experience:

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Experience with ERP systems, preferably Made 2 Manage.

· Ability to multi-task various projects and assignments

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
