Job Description Job Summary:

The System Analyst I supports the day-to-day operational and technical support activities of Hamilton Health Center’s Information Technology environment, serving approximately 300 users across the organization. This role provides world-class customer service to Hamilton employees while assisting with IT ticket management, operational reporting, audit support, and technical support functions.

The System Analyst I also helps maximize the functionality of Hamilton’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other software systems to support organizational operations, patient care initiatives, and strategic goals. The ideal candidate is technically knowledgeable, highly organized, customer-service focused, and able to effectively troubleshoot and communicate solutions to users with varying levels of technical knowledge. A clinical or healthcare background is highly valued, as this position works closely with providers, clinicians, operational staff, and leadership to understand workflows and support technology solutions that meet the needs of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  1. Work IT tickets as assigned while providing world-class customer support and timely communication regarding open requests.
  2. Monitor and support day-to-day operational and technical support activities for approximately 300 users.
  3. Provide technical support assistance related to EHR systems, software applications, and user operational needs.
  4. Partner with Information Technology leadership to provide transparency and visibility regarding departmental operations and organizational value initiatives.
  5. Assist Hamilton leadership with departmental and organizational reporting functions.
  6. Conduct audits, support compliance reporting activities, and assist with operational tracking initiatives.
  7. Participate in meetings, workflow discussions, and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation related to operational support and IT activities.
  9. Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA and Hamilton Health Center policies and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with leadership, clinicians, operational staff, and vendors to support organizational technology needs.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational operations.

Requirements:

  • IT Support Knowledge: Strong understanding of Information Technology support operations and technical troubleshooting practices.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions effectively to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide professional and responsive support to Hamilton employees.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Organization & Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with leadership, physicians, clinicians, staff, vendors, and external stakeholders.
  • Data & Reporting: Ability to utilize operational data and reporting information to support organizational decision-making.
  • HIPAA & Information Security: Knowledge of HIPAA standards and information security requirements with the ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy, quality assurance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related technology systems.
  • Education & Experience: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred. An equivalent combination of education and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience performing similar technical work may be considered.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for travel throughout Hamilton Health Center service locations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods as operationally necessary and speak and listen over the telephone for troubleshooting and technical support activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience supporting EHR systems, software applications, or technical support operations.
  • Clinical or healthcare background with an understanding of clinical workflows, healthcare operations, and the technology needs of providers and clinical staff.
  • Experience providing technical support within a healthcare environment.
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Familiarity with healthcare privacy, security, and HIPAA requirements.
