Senior DevOps Engineer | AI/Healthcare | $180K-$240K
Jersey City, NJ | Hybrid | Full-Time
We're working with a fast-growing technology company in the AI and healthcare space that's looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer to its growing engineering team.
This is a highly hands-on role with ownership across cloud infrastructure, deployment, observability, security, and scalability. You'll help build and evolve the infrastructure supporting production applications, data pipelines, and machine learning systems as the platform continues to scale.
You'll work closely with software, data, and ML engineers to improve reliability, accelerate deployments, strengthen infrastructure security, and ensure the platform can support significant continued growth.
What You'll Do
- Own and evolve production AWS cloud architecture
- Design and manage network architecture, account topology, and cloud infrastructure
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Manage containerized production environments and orchestration
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines across the engineering organization
- Improve deployment speed, reliability, and rollback capabilities
- Implement comprehensive observability across production systems, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting
- Own infrastructure security across IAM, secrets management, encryption, network boundaries, and audit logging
- Build infrastructure supporting high-volume, continuously generated data
- Identify and resolve reliability and scalability bottlenecks
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure and data-related costs
- Partner with engineering and business stakeholders on infrastructure priorities and investments
- Help establish infrastructure standards and best practices across the engineering organization
What You Need
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Platform, or Systems Engineering
- Strong experience owning production cloud architecture in AWS
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Strong experience with containers and production orchestration
- Experience scaling a production system through significant growth
- Strong experience implementing metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring, and alerting
- Experience designing highly available and reliable production systems
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, encryption, and secrets management
- Track record of driving infrastructure improvements and engineering best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Ability to work onsite in Jersey City, NJ at least 3 days per week
Nice to Have
- Experience working in healthcare or another regulated environment
- Experience with HIPAA, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks
- Experience supporting high-volume data, telemetry, or IoT infrastructure
- Experience supporting AI/ML systems and data platforms
- Startup or high-growth technology company experience
Compensation & Benefits
$180,000-$240,000 base salary + equity
