Job DescriptionJob Opening: Sr. Quality Control TechnicianLocation: Marlboro, MARole SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Quality Control Technician with experience in optical or precision component manufacturing to support inspection, documentation review, and day-to-day quality activities in a high-mix manufacturing environment.This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented but also adaptable and curious, with an interest in expanding their skills beyond inspection into broader quality and process support.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of optical components and assembliesVerify contract conformity against drawings, specifications, and customer requirementsReview and maintain quality documentation (inspection records, travelers, certificates)Support nonconformance reporting and basic root cause investigationsWork closely with manufacturing to resolve quality issues quickly and effectivelyAssist with calibration, measurement system upkeep, and inspection equipmentContribute ideas to improve inspection methods and quality workflowsRequired Qualifications10+ years in QC or inspection within optical manufacturingAbility to read and interpret drawings and specificationsAbility to interpret quality requirements from customer purchase orders and specificationsAbility to develop and modify work instructions related to product quality operationsExperience with mechanical and/or optical measurement toolsStrong attention to detail and documentation disciplineExperience in high-mix manufacturingDirect experience with optical inspection or metrology techniquesAble to work independently and adapt to changing or evolving prioritiesWork EnvironmentRole requires extended periods of standing and/or sitting in a clean manufacturing area, wearing proper personal protective equipment including smocks, gloves, and/or safety glasses as required.Role requires the ability to transition between multiple process steps and products within a single shiftRole includes handling and use of chemicals, including the use of proper protective equipment.Other: Headwall is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other basis covered by appropriate law.
