Development Assistant
Job Description
The Architectural Heritage Center is seeking a Development Assistant to assist the Executive Director in growing the development and fundraising efforts for the organization.

Who You Are:

A driven fundraising professional with a collaborative spirit who thrives in an environment with opportunities to take ownership of their work. You have experience crafting strategies around the “one to many” communication style associated with annual fundraising campaigns but also experience with the individual finesse needed for major donor fundraising.
\n
\n
Job Duties:
\n
- \n
- Lead gala planning and execution of yearly fundraising event (in the spring)- with direction from ED this includes tracking budgets, coordinating with venue, arranging auction items, and securing donations
- Manage the development and implementation of the annual appeal mailing
- Assist ED with management of Major Donor file including tracking engagement, strategy and stewardship for high capacity donors
- Maintain the CRM database for AHC members and donors
- Track and steward all grant pipeline activities, including pre- and post-award processes.
- Maintain and report company information for third-party evaluators on an as-needed basis, including updating platforms such as Candid (formerly GuideStar) and Charity Navigator to ensure accurate, current information that supports the organization’s highest standards of transparency and accountability.

Qualifications:
\n

- Strong foundational skills and experience in fundraising
- Proficient in managing annual fund activities for a non-profit
- Self-starter, data and deadline-driven, capable of working independently with solid organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personable
- Strong ability to present information concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Experience and aptitude with CRM database management (donor records, segmentation and mailing lists, basic reports)
- Works well in a diverse and collaborative environment
- Familiarity with inclusive fundraising practices and curious about innovative approaches to working with AHC’s unique community to meet our goals

- Efficient donation processing and acknowledgment
- Success in maintaining accuracy of database records.
- Accuracy and completion of fundraising reports and dashboards and cleanliness/reliability of database
- Completing tasks on deadline
- Good communication and collaboration with staff peers

Salary Range:
\n
55-60k + Benefits including generous health, dental, vision package as well as paid (7) holidays and 15 paid sick/vacation days.
