Scope and Purpose:
We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team and contribute to the creation of high-quality web applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about coding, eager to learn, and thrives in a collaborative environment. As well as enjoying to share knowledge, valuing clean maintainable code, and remaining committed to continuous improvement within a supportive team setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
- Write clean, well-organized code that follows established standards and best practices.
- Contribute to documentation of technical processes, product features, and system architecture.
- Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining software and databases to ensure high performance.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle while growing technical skills.
- Adhere to modern development methodologies and industry best practices.
- Support the development and deployment of new features as required.
- Learn and apply Agile development principles under the guidance of senior team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- At least 3+ years of experience in programming or information technology (academic, freelance, or professional experience will be considered).
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: PHP, Symfony 6+ (or similar frameworks such as Laravel), and familiarity with Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML 5, CSS, Sass, JavaScript and Stimulus framework.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservice-based architecture.
- Working knowledge of SQL, with a preference for MySQL databases.
- Understanding of modern software design patterns and architectural principles.
- Awareness of web application security best practices.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning new tools, frameworks, and technologies.
Travel Requirements:
This position may require light travel within a ten-mile radius from one office location to another as needed.
