We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to lead the architecture and implementation of automated test systems for RF, DC, and functional testing. You will play a pivotal role in quality engineering and test framework development for production applications, REST APIs, and relational databases. Additionally, you will integrate test frameworks based on structured architectural patterns and ensure cybersecurity compliance across all software and data assets related to test systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of automated test systems for RF, DC, and functional testing.
  • Develop and oversee quality engineering and test frameworks for production applications, REST APIs, and relational databases.
  • Integrate test frameworks based on structured architectural patterns.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools such as Power BI for real-time test analytics and yield monitoring.
  • Lead test optimization efforts including design for testability (DFT) reviews, coverage validation, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance across all software and data assets related to test systems.
  • Make final code merge and release readiness decisions.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Software Engineering Technology or a similar field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development or test automation engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and system ownership experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Expert-level experience developing and supporting test systems using C# (WinForms) for shop-floor applications.
  • Experience with service/API development using FastAPI or similar frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of test system architecture, including the separation of UI, API, and database layers, controlled data flow and validation, and audit-defensible data practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with RF test systems, instrumentation, and/or manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or other data analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and instrumentation control.

Work Environment

This role offers a flexible work environment with 60% of the time spent in the office and 30% remote. You will work with advanced technologies and tools in a dynamic and supportive setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Solon, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $115000.00/yr.

Medical Plan offerings are: 1. PPO ($1,000/$2,000 deductible) 2. PPO ($2,000/$4,000 deductible) 3. HDHP/HSA ($3400/$6600 deductible) – Embedded plan Delta Dental: - Dependent children may be covered to age 26 regardless of student status (same as medical/vision). Dependent children will lose eligibility at the end of the month in which they turn 26. MMO Vision : Dependent children may be covered up to age 26. 401(k): eligible 90 days after employment. Match on 1%, 50% match on 2-6%. Additional 50% on 7% at end of calendar year if average annual `contribution was 7%.
