About the role:

\n

We’re seeking a Power BI Developer with strong SQL, IBM DB2, and financial reporting experience.

\n

You’ll develop dashboards and paginated reports, improve financial data models, automate data preparation, and help translate legacy WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS reporting logic into T-SQL.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and dataflows.

\n

• Analyze existing reports and work with business users to improve reporting based on current needs.

\n

• Assess source data and identify transformations needed for reporting.

\n

• Read and document WebFOCUS and Mainframe FOCUS queries and convert them into T-SQL.

\n

• Collaborate with database administrators to develop views and stored procedures supporting Power BI reports.

\n

• Automate data transformation to reduce reliance on Excel pivot tables and manual analysis.

\n

• Analyze financial data and recommend improvements to financial system data models.

\n

• Help management develop an organizational reporting roadmap.

\n

• Administer the dedicated Power BI workspace and train comptroller staff to use reports.

\n

Required qualifications:

\n

\n
• 3+ years of Business Intelligence experience, including 2+ years developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI.

\n

• Experience working with IBM DB2 databases.

\n

• Experience developing Power BI paginated reports.

\n

• Strong SQL skills, with the ability to support the T-SQL development responsibilities above.

\n

• Experience reporting on financial information such as general ledger, purchasing, or revenue data.

\n

• Knowledge of data governance best practices.

\n

• Familiarity with data warehouses, operational data stores, data lakes, and master data management.

\n

• Familiarity with OLAP cubes and star/snowflake schemas, and an understanding of reporting solutions using multiple data sources.

\n

• Knowledge of mainframe flat files.

\n

• Understanding of Power BI integration with Power Automate, Power Apps, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.

\n

• Knowledge of the Scrum framework.

\n

• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and business-user support skills.

\n

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology- or finance-related field. Relevant work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred qualifications:

\n

\n
• WebFOCUS experience.

\n

• Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse.

\n

• Knowledge of mainframe programming languages, systems, and supporting software.

\n

• Knowledge of ERP or other financial systems.
