Job Description

Location: Remote (US), or on-site in Gainesville, FL or Dallas, TX Type: Full-time Shift: 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM Eastern (5:00 PM to 2:00 AM Central, 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM Pacific) Reports to: Support Manager

About West Networks\n

West Networks is the largest Peplink integrator in the world. We build and support mission-critical connectivity for healthcare, broadcast, construction, maritime, retail, and manufacturing. Our customers include names you already know, and when their network goes down, their business stops. That is the standard we work to.

\n

We run support 24 hours a day for customers in the US and abroad. This role covers the evening and overnight block, which is business hours for our Australian customers and after-hours for our US customers.

The shift\n

Your shift runs 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM Eastern. That window lines up with 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Australia, so the first half of your night is live customer support for our Australian accounts. The second half is US overnight work: ticket queue, monitoring, scheduled maintenance, and escalations from customers whose networks do not keep business hours.

\n

If you are a night person, this is a real advantage. The shift is consistent, it is not a rotating schedule, and you are not competing for the phone with a full day-shift floor.

What you'll do\n

    \n
  • Tier 1 support for Peplink routers, SD-WAN, and SpeedFusion deployments
  • \n

  • Support for Netgear and other network hardware in mixed customer environments
  • \n

  • Answer phone, email, and ticket requests from Australian customers during their business day
  • \n

  • NOC monitoring: watch dashboards, triage alerts, escalate correctly, and clear what you can remotely
  • \n

  • Work the overnight US ticket queue and hand off cleanly to the morning shift
  • \n

  • Remote configuration changes, firmware updates, and scheduled maintenance windows
  • \n

  • Document everything so the next technician is not starting from zero
  • \n

What we're looking for\n

You do not need Peplink experience. You do not need to be a network engineer. We train Tier 1 technicians from the ground up, and we would rather hire someone reliable and teach them the technology than hire someone who knows the technology and does not show up.

\n

Required

\n

    \n
  • Comfortable working an evening and overnight schedule long-term
  • \n

  • Clear written and spoken English, and the patience to work with a customer who is frustrated
  • \n

  • Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn networking from the ground up
  • \n

  • Reliable internet and a quiet place to work if you are remote
  • \n

  • Able to work independently with limited supervision during overnight hours
  • \n

  • Pass a background check
  • \n

\n

Nice to have, not required

\n

    \n
  • Any help desk, call center, or technical support experience
  • \n

  • General IP networking exposure: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPNs
  • \n

  • Peplink, SD-WAN, cellular, or satellite connectivity experience
  • \n

  • CompTIA Network+, A+, or similar
  • \n

What we provide\n

    \n
  • Paid Peplink and networking training from the team that runs Peplink's official training program
  • \n

  • Company laptop and equipment
  • \n

  • Clear path from Tier 1 into Tier 2 support, NOC, or engineering
  • \n

  • Remote work, or a desk in Gainesville or Dallas if you prefer an office
  • \n
