Job Title: Senior Turbomachinery Mechanical Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA


About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced turbomachinery systems. This role involves full ownership of critical rotating components, combining analysis, design, and hands-on testing to deliver high-performance, reliable hardware.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and test compressors and turbomachinery components.
  • Own end-to-end development of critical components, including flow path design for impellers and diffusers.
  • Perform mechanical and aerodynamic analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and life targets are met.
  • Develop first-principles models and tools for performance prediction and quick engineering estimates.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to ensure designs are buildable and integrated.
  • Support testing, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvements in performance and manufacturability.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in turbomachinery or rotating equipment design.
  • Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and mechanical design.


Preferred Skills

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience with compressor aerodynamics and flowpath design.
  • Hands-on experience with turbomachinery hardware, testing, and manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with CAD (e.g., Siemens NX) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS).
