Summary of Role/Position

As a Product Return Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data related to returned product. Your insights and recommendations will be instrumental in improving our processes and customer satisfaction. This role is based in our Torrance, CA office.


Responsibilities:

  1. Data analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of return data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Gain expertise in understanding customer return behavior
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency and completeness in all analyses and reports.
  • Collect and organize data related to product returns, including reasons for returns, return volumes, and customer feedback.
  • Develop and maintain reports tracking return metrics, KPIs and industry-specific insights.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for managements and cross-functional teams.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with various teams, including supply chain, customer service, data catalog and product managers to provide data-driven solutions and insights.
  1. Documentation:

  • Document analysis methodologies, findings and solutions for reference and future improvements.
  1. Automotive knowledge (Bonus):

  • Leverage your knowledge of automotive to understand the unique challenges and trends associated with returns.
  • Collaborate with the product team to ensure data analysis aligns with industry-specific requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, business analytics, or finance.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings effectively.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $$80,000-$100,000
