Key Responsibilities:
· Cellular Backup Maintenance:
- Manage and monitor cellular backup systems for network redundancy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cellular failover connections.
- Ensure proper configurations and functionality of backup devices to maintain business continuity.
- Regularly test backup systems to ensure they are operational and perform failover drills.
· Meraki Configuration & Support:
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Meraki hardware, including wireless access points, switches, and security appliances.
- Monitor Meraki dashboard for system performance, security alerts, and network usage.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and assist in optimizing network performance.
- Assist in setting up new Meraki devices and deploying them across the organization.
· PCI Compliance:
- Help ensure that network systems and configurations meet PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
- Perform routine checks to verify PCI-DSS adherence for network devices, including routers, firewalls, and Meraki configurations.
- Assist in maintaining accurate documentation for PCI compliance audits and assessments.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in PCI-DSS guidelines and assist with implementation of necessary updates.
· General Network Support:
- Provide basic support for network issues, including user connectivity, hardware failures, and performance concerns.
- Assist with network monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. After hours work is required to ensure maximum operational uptime at our locations
- Collaborate with senior network administrators to support infrastructure upgrades, configurations, and best practices.
- Ensure network security protocols and policies are adhered to by monitoring traffic and system logs.
What we're looking for in you:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as IP addressing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
- Previous experience or internship in network administration or IT support is preferred.
- Familiarity with cellular backup technologies and configurations.
- Basic experience with Meraki networking devices and their management interface.
- Knowledge of network security practices and protocols, particularly those related to PCI compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical team members.
- CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA certification preferred
- Meraki-specific certifications or knowledge (e.g., Meraki Network Associate) is a plus.
