About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a large, enterprise-scale organization in the retail and digital commerce industry to support their network security operations. This role focuses on maintaining and supporting critical security tooling that enables secure connectivity for thousands of users. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable supporting both end users and backend infrastructure in a complex environment.
Job Description
The Security Engineer will provide 2nd and 3rd level operational support for network security platforms, with a primary focus on VPN, internet proxy, zero trust network access (ZTNA), and firewall technologies.
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work directly with end users, and experience supporting enterprise-scale security solutions. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable network access while helping to resolve incidents, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the ongoing stability of security services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advanced support for network security tools, including VPN and proxy platforms
- Supporting Cisco AnyConnect VPN environments
- Assisting with Zscaler (ZIA/ZCC) operational support
- Supporting firewall technologies, including policy troubleshooting and rule management
- Contributing to backend and infrastructure-level support for security platforms
- Escalating and resolving complex security incidents and outages
- Supporting continuous improvement of network security operations and processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience providing network security operational support in an enterprise environment
- Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
- Hands-on experience supporting Cisco AnyConnect
- Strong end-user support skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Zscaler (ZIA and/or ZCC)
- Experience with Check Point firewall technologies
- Familiarity with F5 BIG-IP
- Experience providing backend or infrastructure-level support for network security platforms
- Exposure to zero trust network access (ZTNA) concepts and tools
