Position Title: UNIX Systems Administrator (Senior Linux Engineer)
Location: Boca Raton, FL
Duration: 12 Months
Role Overview:
Provide operational support and maintenance for a large Linux estate (approximately 300 servers). The role focuses on Red Hat (RHEL 8/9) administration, patch management, automation, performance tuning, security vulnerability remediation, and collaboration with IT and business stakeholders to ensure high availability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software.

Perform OS patching and remediate security vulnerabilities to meet compliance requirements.

Tune systems to application-specific requirements and support server migrations.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.

Develop and maintain automation (Ansible) and manage related platforms and tooling.

Provide on-call Unix/Linux support in a 24x7 environment and document work.
Required Skills & Experience:

RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management.

Linux server builds and custom configuration experience.

Ansible playbook development and Ansible Automation Platform management.

SolarWinds monitoring experience.

VMware operational knowledge.

Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge and experience in firewalled environments.

Performance tuning experience for Oracle database servers.

Server security vulnerability management and remediation experience.

Minimum ~10 years systems administration experience (as stated in source).
