Quality Assurance Associate

Job Description

This position supports the Process Teams by tracking, reporting, and defining continuous improvement goals. It involves on-the-floor batch record review, determining root causes for deviations, writing investigation reports, coaching and training personnel on GMP/GDP, auditing production processes for compliance with global and local procedures, and closely working with and reporting to the Process Team Lead and Quality Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve product batch records and technical documentation associated with validation, deviations, or change control activities.
  • Track, report, and define continuous improvement goals, determine root causes for deviation/CAPA reports, and communicate findings back to the Process Team.
  • Audit production processes for compliance with global and local procedures and either create new or revise existing procedures as changes occur.
  • Develop training plans and train/qualify others, including training outside of the area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate understanding of regulations for various countries and provide input or approval accordingly.

Essential Skills

  • Quality assurance

  • BS degree in a relevant scientific discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or biological production OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or biological production.
  • Experience with USDA/FDA regulatory requirements in a biological production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing computer programs such as Microsoft Suite, SAP, Veeva, Learning One Source, and other relevant electronic applications.
  • Must be a self-starter, with high enthusiasm, high drive, and independence.
  • Open to candidates with a Bachelor or Associate Degree with minimal experience.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, covering some 2nd and 3rd shift hours. The start time is flexible, with options for a 2:00 pm start or a later start, but consistency with hours and overlap with the day team is required. Employees receive PTO and holiday pay while on contract.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Dodge, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
