Magna Dry, a division of Midwest Remediation (MWR), is looking for an experienced and dependable Assistant Water Mitigation Technician to join our Lafayette, IN team full-time. If you have experience in water mitigation or restoration and enjoy hands-on work where every day brings something different, this could be a great opportunity to grow your career.This is an assistant-level position where you'll work alongside lead and senior technicians to help complete water mitigation and restoration projects. You'll play an important role in responding to emergencies, supporting your team, and helping customers recover from unexpected water damage.WHAT YOU'LL EARN & RECEIVEDepending on experience, you'll earn $20.00 - $25.00/hour. We also provide:Health insurance benefits for full-time employees (30+ hours per week)Paid vacation for full-time employees (30+ hours per week)Competitive hourly wagesIndustry-specific training and development opportunitiesAll required PPE and toolsCareer growth opportunities in a growing companyTHE ROLEAs an Assistant Water Mitigation Technician, you'll work under the direction of experienced technicians to help ensure mitigation and restoration projects are completed efficiently and correctly. Your responsibilities may include:Assisting lead technicians with water mitigation and restoration projectsFollowing instructions and completing physical job-site tasksLoading and retrieving tools, equipment, and supplies from the warehouseCommunicating effectively with leads and other team membersMaintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked work vehiclesCleaning and organizing tools and equipmentProperly using PPE and required safety equipmentResponding to emergency calls and severe weather eventsSupporting disaster response efforts when neededWHAT WE NEED FROM YOUSuccessful candidates will have:Experience in water mitigation or restorationPunctuality, dependability, and ability to take initiativeAbility to frequently lift and carry 80 poundsAbility to wear PPE and work in various environments (outdoors, indoors without air conditioning, areas with microbial growth, etc)Ability to work overtimeWillingness to work holidays as neededStrong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are important in this role. Familiarity with PPE and safety procedures is helpful.SCHEDULE & EMERGENCY RESPONSEWe operate 24/7/365 because water damage doesn't happen on a convenient schedule.
