Job Description
Associate Software Engineer
About Us
Advaita Health is committed to a sustainable, integrated model of behavioral healthcare where providers, staff, and patients thrive. Our clinical and operational teams work hand-in-hand to make sure patients receive the best possible care, while the technology — the systems, data, and tools our teams rely on every day — is built with the same care and reliability. Every role at Advaita Health contributes to our mission of delivering high-quality, accessible behavioral health services, and our technology team plays an essential part in making that possible.
Our goal for you is simple: to create a place where you can build a lasting career, grow your skills quickly, and do meaningful work without burning out. We support this through:
- Real ownership over projects, with the room to grow into bigger ones
- Mentorship, training, and exposure to a wide range of technologies
- Performance measures based on growth and impact, not just tenure
- Built-in collaboration and transparency across teams
- Technology and tools that support good work rather than get in the way
Why Join Advaita Health?
- Full-time, salaried, exempt position
- 401(k) with employer match
- 3 weeks of PTO and 10 paid federal holidays
- Flexible health, dental, and vision coverage; HSA/FSA options
- Free life insurance up to $10,000; short- and long-term disability coverage
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with therapy and financial support
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an Associate Software Engineer who is motivated, versatile, and early in their career — someone excited to work across a broad range of technologies rather than specialize in just one.
Rather than specializing in a single technology, you'll work across cloud platforms, application integrations, data, business intelligence, web technologies, and artificial intelligence. We don't expect candidates to already be experts in all these areas — we're looking for someone with the aptitude and initiative to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly and put them into practice. Curiosity, initiative, problem-solving ability, and the drive to learn quickly matter here more than deep expertise in any one stack.
You'll thrive here if you're someone who:
- Is naturally curious and enjoys figuring out how things work
- Can take an unfamiliar technical challenge, research it, experiment, and arrive at a working solution
- Is comfortable wearing multiple hats — software development, cloud infrastructure, data, analytics, and AI
- Takes ownership of assignments and follows them through to completion
- Wants to grow quickly and take on increasing levels of responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and supporting software integrations between internal systems, external platforms, and APIs
- Configuring and deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure, with potential exposure to AWS
- Developing cloud-based applications, services, automation, and data processing solutions
- Working with databases, including data modeling, transformation, aggregation, and reporting
- Building dashboards, reports, and analytics using Microsoft Power BI
- Developing and maintaining web-based applications and internal tools
- Exploring and deploying practical AI and generative AI solutions, including integrating AI capabilities into existing business processes and applications
- Creating and deploying CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation
- Troubleshooting technical problems across applications, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and data
- Evaluating new technologies and quickly developing enough expertise to put them into practical use
- Working directly with technical and business team members to understand problems and develop solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar technical discipline preferred — or equivalent experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong foundational understanding of software development concepts and modern technology
- Experience with a programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java
- Basic understanding of databases, SQL, APIs, and web technologies
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts; Azure or AWS exposure preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and a desire to produce high-quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to Microsoft Power BI or other BI/reporting tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation
- Coursework or personal projects involving AI or generative AI
- Internship or academic project experience with a cloud platform (Azure or AWS)
Ready to Join Us?
This position offers unusually broad exposure for someone early in their career. Rather than spending years working within a narrow technical specialty, you'll have the opportunity to work across cloud platforms, software development, APIs, data engineering, analytics, web development, automation, and AI — all while working for a healthcare company that directly serves patients every day.
