Position Overview

\n

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide project leadership and strategic direction at a large-scale manufacturing facility. This onsite position will oversee capital and engineering projects from initial concept and scope development through design, construction, commissioning, startup, and final documentation.

\n

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with internal departments, engineering partners, contractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders. This role reports to the facility’s Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Develop capital investment proposals, project scopes, estimates, execution plans, and supporting documentation.
  • \n

  • Lead projects through design, construction, installation, commissioning, startup, and closeout.
  • \n

  • Coordinate project cost tracking, reporting, documentation, and performance against approved project objectives.
  • \n

  • Lead cross-functional teams, engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules while monitoring progress and milestones.
  • \n

  • Ensure appropriate technical support, construction management resources, and project systems are in place.
  • \n

  • Promote project execution in accordance with safety, environmental, quality, and operational standards.
  • \n

  • Partner with purchasing and procurement teams to support project requirements and timelines.
  • \n

  • Identify project risks, resolve issues, and communicate progress to key stakeholders.
  • \n

  • Support continuous improvement and operational excellence across facility projects.
  • \n

  • Travel periodically to support projects at other company facilities, as needed.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related technical discipline.
  • \n

  • At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • \n

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience successfully leading and executing engineering or capital projects.
  • \n

  • Strong project leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 15%, depending on project requirements.
  • \n

Preferred Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project scheduling software.
  • \n

  • Experience with project cost-control or project management software.
  • \n

  • Experience in a process-driven manufacturing environment.
  • \n

  • 7 or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • \n

  • PMP certification.
  • \n

  • At least 5 years of demonstrated project management experience, including project development, planning, and execution.
  • \n
