Job Summary:

The Professional Service Project Manager will ensure the timely completion of service projects within budget while meeting the company’s high-quality standards. Additionally, the Professional Service Project Manager will perform scheduling tasks as well as administrative duties, such as maintaining project documentation and handling financial and product queries.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee activities of Service team members including LAN and WAN Engineers.
  • Ensure the timely updates of project tickets, including time entry, in the appropriate Dox Electronics systems by LAN and WAN Engineers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the process and documentation associated with the creation of professional services quotes and scopes of work.
  • Coordinates project management activities, resources, products, and information.
  • Acts as a liaison with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Creates project plans, identifying manageable milestones and appropriate timeframes to meet agreed-upon deliverables.
  • Analyzes risks and opportunities and makes recommendations on the appropriate course of action.
  • Monitors project progress and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Works within the department to schedule time for shared resources.
  • Acts as the point of contact and communicates project status to all participants.
  • Uses tools to monitor working hours, plans, and expenditures.
  • Creates and or maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans, reports, and “legal” paperwork (i.e., Scope of Work Documents and Quotes).
  • Ensures the timely updating of project documentation and time entry in the appropriate Dox Electronics systems.
  • Work within the department to maintain engineering resource utilization at 80% or better.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in project management, from Scope of Work creation to delivery.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans.
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Smartsheet.com and Microsoft Project.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or related field or equivalent job experience and training.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Information Technology background preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
