This is a hybrid/remote position based out of the Unitus Business Center - Tigard, OR. While most of the work can be done from home, Unitus employees are required to live in Oregon or Washington states.

Primary Duties

  • Administer the Empower mortgage origination system, including setup, configuration, and optimization to support the processing of mortgage applications from origination through closing. Manage system settings and user access to ensure optimal end-user experience and operational efficiency. Stay current with system releases and regulatory updates to maintain compliance and system integrity.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the Empower system and mortgage loan origination processes, providing guidance to internal stakeholders including the mortgage team, operations, training, and senior leadership. Communicate technical requirements, system capabilities, limitations, and industry best practices to ensure informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Partner with the mortgage team and internal stakeholders to identify system configuration needs, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement solutions that support business objectives. Lead the implementation of new features, functionality, and regulatory changes. Manage vendor relationships with the system provider, including opening and tracking support tickets, escalations, and professional services requests to resolve complex issues.
  • Respond to and resolve incoming system tickets and requests from end users, including troubleshooting operational issues, configuring new tasks and workflows, and implementing system enhancements. Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for incident and request resolution. Document issues, solutions, and system configurations to support knowledge management and continuous improvement.

As an ideal candidate, you will have

  • Minimum 3 years of direct administration and configuration experience with Empower mortgage origination software, or extensive demonstrated knowledge of the system with proven ability to quickly master complex mortgage lending platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience administering mortgage origination or mortgage management systems in a financial services environment, with demonstrated expertise in system setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in vendor management and technical support coordination, with experience opening and managing support tickets, troubleshooting system issues, and serving as a primary point of contact with software vendors.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending processes, regulatory requirements, and mortgage industry compliance considerations (such as Fannie Mae guidelines, loan origination standards, and mortgage regulatory frameworks).
  • Experience managing system releases, updates, and feature implementations in a mortgage lending environment.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems and SLA management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with other financial services software systems and platforms is preferred.

The Mortgage Systems Analyst is a specialized technical expert responsible for administering and maintaining our Empower mortgage origination system that enables seamless loan processing and supports our mortgage business operations. This role is dedicated solely to the mortgage platform, ensuring optimal system configuration, performance, and compliance while partnering closely with our mortgage team and vendor to deliver reliable service and drive operational excellence.
