We are looking for a skilled Model-Based Design (MBD) Engineer with strong experience in MATLAB, Simulink, and TargetLink to support battery management system (BMS) development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing and implementing embedded control algorithms using model-based development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Develop and maintain control models using MATLAB/Simulink and TargetLink.
- Design, develop, and implement Model-Based Design (MBD) solutions for automotive battery systems.
- Work on Battery Management System (BMS) models, including battery monitoring, control, diagnostics, and related functions.
- Convert Simulink models into production-ready embedded C code using TargetLink.
- Perform model simulation, testing, debugging, and verification.
- Support model-in-the-loop (MIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL), and related validation activities.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and hardware engineering teams to ensure successful integration.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into functional models and software components.
- Troubleshoot model and code-generation issues and support continuous improvements.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Experience with TargetLink for model-based development and automatic code generation.
- Strong understanding of Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies.
- Experience working with Battery Management Systems (BMS) or automotive battery systems.
- Good understanding of embedded software development and C/C++.
- Experience with simulation, model validation, and code generation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Automotive industry experience.
- Experience with battery control algorithms, SOC/SOH estimation, battery diagnostics, or thermal management.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN/CAN FD.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR and embedded automotive software development.
- Experience with testing and validation tools.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Typically 3+ years of experience in MBD, MATLAB/Simulink, TargetLink, or automotive embedded systems.
