Position Summary

\n

We are seeking a talented Localization Screenwriter to adapt and refine short-form television series scripts for audiences in North America. This role is ideal for a creative writer with experience in screenwriting, script adaptation, or content localization, along with a strong understanding of both Western and Chinese storytelling traditions.

What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional command of written English with strong screenwriting and storytelling abilities.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated experience writing, adapting, or localizing scripts for television, digital media, or short-form content.
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Television, Creative Writing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • \n

  • Familiarity with storytelling trends and audience preferences in North America.
  • \n

  • Understanding of Chinese short-form television content, web fiction, or related storytelling styles is a plus.
  • \n

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multicultural teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with writers, editors, and cross-functional creative teams to adapt original scripts for audiences.
  • \n

  • Refine dialogue, pacing, character development, and narrative structure to ensure cultural relevance and audience engagement.
  • \n

  • Preserve the creative intent of the original scripts while producing natural, compelling English-language adaptations.
  • \n

  • Provide creative recommendations and localization expertise throughout script development.
  • \n

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure localized content aligns with creative goals and audience expectations.
  • \n
