Job Description
This company develops, builds, and owns its community solar portfolio. No flipping. PE-backed, new leadership team, growing fast.
\n
\n
The role: you're directly managing a portfolio of projects in Maryland and Illinois, taking them from secured site through to NTP.
\n
\n
Why this one's worth a conversation:
\n
\n
→ You see your projects through to operation. They own everything they build.
\n
→ Small, collaborative team. Low bureaucracy. Real ownership of your portfolio.
\n
→ You're not just pushing paper through permitting. You're expected to understand interconnection, title, financing, and the handoff to construction, and get all of it right.
\n
→ They're exploring battery projects too. If you've got storage experience, it counts here.
\n
\n
What matters here:
\n
\n
→ Generous PTO people actually take. You're encouraged to use it.
\n
→ Hybrid setup (NYC)
\n
→ PE backing means the growth plan is funded, not aspirational.
\n
→ Vertically integrated: your asset manager is involved from day one, so you're building for the long term, not the next sale.
\n
\n
What you bring:
\n
\n
→ 4-6+ years developing solar PV projects (community), origination through NTP
\n
→ Strong on interconnection, permitting, title, and working with construction teams
\n
→ You understand how to finance a project: construction loans, tax equity, what needs to be true before you break ground
\n
→ You don't need handholding. You've delivered financed projects and can prove it
\n
→ Maryland or Illinois experience is a big plus
\n

Comp: $150-160K base + 15% performance bonus. 2-3 interview rounds, they're moving fast.
