Crew Lead Climber / Tower Technician (Tower Foreman Level)

Location: Huntingdon Valley, PA

We are seeking a full-time Crew Lead Climber / Tower Foreman to oversee daily field operations and lead crews performing telecommunications inspections, construction support, and post-construction work. This role is ideal for a climber who enjoys mentoring others, owning the job site, and delivering high-quality work while maintaining strict schedule and safety standards.

Pay starting $45 per hour company-provided equipment and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

Field Leadership (80–90% of work time):

  • Serve as Crew Lead, leading daily site operations and setting expectations for safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Foreman oversees and assists with crew on-site activities, following construction schedule, tower mappings, construction support, post-construction inspections and closure of the project according to customer requirements.
  • Climb and work on guyed, self-supporting, and monopole towers, as well as water tanks and rooftops.
  • Perform labor-intensive tasks including scanning, probing, digging, drilling, rigging, and verification of foundation dimensions and steel reinforcement.
  • Understand and implement all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
  • Enforce industry standards including OSHA, ANSI, TIA, NATE, and COMTRAIN requirements.
  • Ensure job sites remain safe, organized, and compliant at all times.
  • Travel during the week as required (M–F or rotational schedules); hotel and per diem provided.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe, operational condition.
  • Mentor and train less experienced technicians in climbing, safety, and quality workmanship.
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.

Office & Project Support (10% of work time):

  • Conduct project due diligence prior to field deployment.
  • Maintain daily site paperwork, time sheets, and job documentation.
  • Compile and submit site closeout packages and upload documentation to customer portals.
  • Review peer work products for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate field findings clearly with project managers and engineering teams.
  • Read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and SOWs.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of tower or wireless industry experience required.
  • Prior Crew Lead, Lead Climber, or Tower Foreman experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, rigging, safety procedures, and industry standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews, train technicians, and make sound safety decisions.
  • Safety certifications preferred (First Aid, CPR, (hands on), HazCom GHS, Competent Rigging, Competent Climber/Rescuer, Capstan Hoist Operations (In Person), Bloodborne Pathogens, OSHA 30, NWSA TTT-1, RF Awareness, etx..).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and basic computer skills (Excel, Word, documentation systems).
  • Must be physically fit and able to climb towers, lift up to 50 lbs., and work shifts up to 12 hours.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record.
