Job Description
\n
The Role
\n
We’re seeking a mid-level web developer to build and maintain PHP-based web applications using MariaDB, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Candidates must have hands-on development experience and the ability to deliver features independently, from requirements through testing and deployment. This is an in-person position requiring attendance at our office Monday through Friday; remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available.
\n
\n
\n
What You’ll Do
\n
• Design, build, test, and maintain PHP/MariaDB web applications and supporting services. Extend and document our custom API that bridges our proprietary desktop applications and web services
\n
• Diagnose and resolve production issues. Collaborate with our development team on improvements to existing sites and on new initiatives
\n
• Make sound technical trade-offs and explain them to non-technical stakeholders when needed
\n
\n
\n
What We’re Looking For
\n
• 5–7 years of professional web development experience
\n
• Strong command of the LAMP/LEMP stack.
\n
• Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
\n
• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs
\n
• Comfort with Git and modern source-control workflows
\n
• Track record of owning features from spec through deployment and maintenance
\n
• Clear written and verbal communication — you can explain a technical decision to a non-engineer
\n
\n
\n
Nice to Have
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (not required — equivalent experience is fine)
\n
• NodeJS development experience
\n
• Experience integrating web services with desktop applications
\n
• Print industry, e-commerce, or franchise-systems background
\n
