Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP WM / SD-LE Functional Consultant to provide ongoing production support and contribute to potential SAP projects and business process improvement initiatives.
The environment is primarily SAP ECC EHP8, with a smaller SAP S/4HANA footprint and several integrated ancillary systems, including external WMS and TMS platforms, Neptune mobility solutions, and Loftware printing solutions.
This position can be performed remotely, but candidates must be able to work U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours. Preference will be given to consultants located in the Malvern, PA / Greater Philadelphia area.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on functional expertise across SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Logistics Execution (LE) and is comfortable balancing production support, configuration, process optimization, change management, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities SAP Production Support
- Provide ongoing functional support across SAP WM, SD and LE processes.
- Manage production tickets, including incidents, change requests, and user questions.
- Troubleshoot functional and integration issues and identify root causes.
- Document issues, resolutions, and changes within the helpdesk system.
- Work with business users, IT resources, and external partners to resolve production issues efficiently.
- Support integrations between SAP and related logistics systems.
Business Process Optimization & Governance
- Partner with Business Process Center team members, business stakeholders, and IT resources to evaluate and improve business processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, automation, and business value.
- Translate business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Collaborate with process owners and governance teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and business objectives.
- Support a stable, sustainable, and well-governed application landscape.
SAP Configuration & Change Management
- Perform and/or coordinate functional configuration within SAP WM, SD and LE.
- Manage application changes in accordance with business requirements and corporate governance standards.
- Support SOX, Segregation of Duties (SOD), and related compliance requirements.
- Develop functional specifications and coordinate with technical resources when development is required.
- Conduct impact assessments and support unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate deployment and provide post-implementation support.
- Develop and maintain functional and process documentation.
- Support end-user training and adoption.
Project Delivery
Participate as a functional team member on SAP and related business-system projects, including:
- Business requirements gathering
- Business process design
- Fit/gap analysis
- Functional specifications
- System configuration
- Integration coordination
- Testing and defect resolution
- User acceptance testing
- Training
- Cutover planning
- Go-live support
- Transition to production support
Work closely with business stakeholders, SAP/IT teams, and external resources throughout the solution lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on functional experience with SAP WM (Warehouse Management).
- Strong functional knowledge of SAP SD and Logistics Execution (SD-LE / LE).
- Experience supporting SAP ECC production environments.
- Hands-on SAP configuration and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong understanding of warehouse, shipping, logistics, order-to-delivery, and related business processes.
- Experience handling production incidents, change requests, and functional enhancements.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional SAP solutions.
- Experience creating functional specifications and working with technical/development teams.
- Experience with testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment during U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Located in Malvern, PA, Philadelphia, or the Greater Philadelphia area.
- SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Experience with SAP integrations to external WMS and/or TMS platforms.
- Experience with Neptune mobility or Loftware.
- Experience working within SOX/SOD-controlled environments.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, or supply-chain operations.
- Experience participating in SAP implementation, enhancement, upgrade, or optimization projects.

Working Hours: Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time Zone business hours

Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for a hands-on SAP functional consultant who can move comfortably between day-to-day production support and project work. The successful consultant should be capable of independently investigating issues, working directly with business users, configuring SAP solutions, coordinating changes, and supporting projects through testing and go-live.
