The Norwegian Club of San Francisco is a non-profit, private organization dedicated to promoting fellowship among the Norwegian-American community in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We are actively seeking a reliable and committed cleaning staff member for our beloved club who will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. This position is perfect for a university student looking for a flexible job while pursuing his/her studies.
Responsibilities:
- Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition
- Perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors and shampooing rugs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Organize custodial closets and spaces
- Maintain working condition of cleaning equipment
- Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Do appropriate laundry and ironing for table of linens from the dinner service
Job Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related fields
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
Skills
- Active listening, great communicator both orally and on digital forms such as email
- Independent and self-starter
General working hours
- Dinners are every Thursday evening and cleaning should be done within 1-2 days after the dinner, can be in the weekends.
- Generally, the full cleaning takes from 4-8 hours depending on the size of the event.
- From time-to-time cleaning is needed before and/or after special events with working hours between 4-6 hours for each event. Time will be mutually agreed between the employee and the staff manager.
Compensation
- $30 per hour
