Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians to ensure that machinery and equipment operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. This role oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems at a manufacturing facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all machinery and equipment.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee preventive maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, CNC, and robotic systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform and direct repairs on equipment, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and production standards.
  • Oversee maintenance activities on CNC machines and robotics, including teaching positions, setups, and adjustments.
  • Use PLC troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve control system problems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair work.
  • Utilize maintenance management practices to organize work orders, prioritize tasks, and track maintenance activities.
  • Train, coach, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring they follow best practices and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal impact on operations.
  • Use Excel and basic computer systems to maintain records, document maintenance work, and generate reports.
  • Promote a culture of safety by enforcing safety policies and ensuring proper use of tools, equipment, and protective measures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
  • Perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work, including lifting or moving up to 100 pounds with or without assistance and standing for prolonged periods.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in maintenance supervision or a similar leadership role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong preventive maintenance knowledge for mechanical, electrical, CNC, and robotic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with robotics and CNC machines, including teaching positions, setups, and adjustments.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and industrial electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead, train, and support maintenance staff.
  • Familiarity with Excel and basic computer systems for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting or moving up to 100 pounds with or without assistance and standing for extended periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach, train, and develop staff.
  • Experience with maintenance management practices and systems.
  • Comfort working with industrial robotics, CNC equipment, and automated systems.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality in all maintenance activities.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility in Jeffersonville, Indiana, operating on a 1st shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. You will work around industrial machinery, CNC equipment, robotics, and automated systems, frequently engaging with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment. The position requires prolonged periods of standing and the ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance. The environment emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork, with regular use of tools, technical documentation, and computer systems to support maintenance operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
