Job Title: Data Analyst Location: Plano, Texas Type: Contract Compensation: $42.00 per hour Work Model: Hybrid Hours: 40.0 System One is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team in Plano, TX for a contract opportunity. Responsibilities
- Take ownership of data analysis within your designated project scopes, delivering clear, accurate, and impactful insights in line with project requirements and deadlines.
- Work directly with business stakeholders and project teams to understand data needs, define metrics, and translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports primarily using Power BI and Tableau, ensuring information is presentable and easily understandable.
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various database sources.
- Ensure the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of all data outputs by implementing validation procedures and regular data integrity checks.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, automate repetitive tasks, and improve data quality.
- Convey technical information and data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling transparent communication throughout the organization.
- Contribute to business growth by providing data-driven recommendations, supporting strategy development, and identifying market trends.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data sources, methodologies, and reporting processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, working with real-world data in a business environment.
- Proven proficiency in Power BI and Tableau for developing interactive dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong command of SQL, with experience writing and optimizing complex queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Familiarity with additional data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python or R is highly desirable.
- Understanding of data modeling concepts and ETL processes is a plus.
- Experience working with large datasets and various database systems.
