Job Title: Security Guard
Location: Louisville, KY
Pay:$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time 5 AM - 12 PM / Saturday 6 am - 9 AM
Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and assets. This position involves monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible presence to deter criminal activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned premises on foot or by vehicle.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure safety and security.
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures, and restraining trespassers if necessary.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Write detailed incident and daily activity reports.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
- Control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Assist visitors, employees, and clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Follow company security and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
- Valid state security guard license or certification (if applicable).
- Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and handle emergencies effectively.
- Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer and report-writing skills.
