Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple water/wastewater projects involving treatment, distribution, collection, storage, and pumping systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guide clients through all project phases to meet budget, schedule, and quality goals.
- Oversee engineering tasks including design, cost estimates, bidding, construction support, and commissioning.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling, process evaluations, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and ensure QA/QC compliance.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff.
- Support recruitment and hiring of engineering personnel.
- Manage sub-consultants and ensure their successful integration into projects.
- Contribute to business development, including proposals, interviews, and client negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Promote clear, consistent communication across teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas (or able to obtain within 6 months).
- 15+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, with expertise in hydraulics and treatment plant design.
- Proven track record managing projects from planning through construction, including budget, schedule, and quality oversight.
- Broad knowledge of water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse systems, including master planning and conveyances
- Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration (+).
- Engaged in professional organizations via presentations, committee work, and leadership positions (+).
