Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, parking areas, gates, and perimeter zones, helping to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report maintenance issues, hazards, or suspicious behavior observed during patrols.
- Support day-to-day security-related operations by following post orders, maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicating clearly with team members and site personnel.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
