A Day in This Role
You'll be the go-to person for keeping units and common areas functioning smoothly - from troubleshooting an AC unit to getting a vacant apartment ready for its next resident. No two days look exactly alike, which keeps the work interesting.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle resident work orders promptly and with a customer-first attitude
- Perform repairs and preventive upkeep on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances
- Turn vacant units for move-in, including patch/paint and general repair work
- Walk the grounds and amenities regularly to catch issues early
- Keep clear, organized records of completed work and materials used
- Support pool care, light grounds upkeep, and overall curb appeal
- Rotate into the on-call schedule to cover after-hours emergencies
- Work safely and in line with property procedures at all times
What You Bring
- Background in apartment or residential maintenance strongly preferred
- Comfort working across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry
- EPA certification a plus (or willingness to earn one)
- Sharp troubleshooting instincts and a careful eye for detail
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders as part of routine work
- Dependable, self-directed work style with solid teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
