The Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment within a single facility by ensuring effective facility cleaning, waste disposal, and floor maintenance. This position operates independently with minimal supervision and reports directly to the Operations Supervisor. The role involves day shift hours and offers the opportunity to advance to a supervisory position.
Responsibilities
- Perform facility cleaning and restroom sanitation using manual methods and chemical agents
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials safely and responsibly
- Maintain floors using specialized floor care machinery and standard cleaning tools
- Operate equipment in compliance with safety guidelines
- Replenish supplies to ensure continuous availability
- Comply with all safety regulations and procedures
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of custodial work experience
