Immediate opening for a Janitorial Worker in Perris, CA who possesses:
- At least 1 year of janitorial services experience, preferably in an office setting
- Knowledge of how to properly mix cleaning supplies and follow safety protocols when mixing
- Valid driver's license with a good driving history
- Ability to drive city vehicles as required
- Ability to work Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with possible overtime
- Ability to support a 3 to 6 month assignment with the possibility of extension
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Janitorial Worker to support facility cleanliness and sanitation needs in Perris, CA. This role is responsible for completing a variety of cleaning tasks, including disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recycling bins, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replenishing restroom supplies, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and supporting overall facility appearance. The ideal candidate will have janitorial experience, knowledge of safe cleaning supply usage, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work a temporary assignment with possible extension.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary facility
- Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces throughout assigned areas
- Emptying trash cans and recycling bins
- Cleaning and sanitizing restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, and toilets
- Replenishing restroom supplies as needed
- Vacuuming assigned areas
- Mopping floors
- Shampooing carpets and chairs as needed
- Dusting windowsills, blinds, and other surfaces
- Properly mixing and using cleaning supplies according to safety protocols
- Following all cleaning, facility, and safety procedures
- Driving city vehicles as required
- Reporting supply needs, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Supporting overtime needs as assigned
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- At least 1 year of janitorial services experience required
- Office janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies and proper mixing procedures required
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and janitorial work required
- Valid driver's license required
- Good driving history required
- Ability to drive city vehicles as required
- Ability to work Sunday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to support a 3 to 6 month temporary assignment with the possibility of extension
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work onsite in Perris, CA
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and move throughout the facility for the duration of the shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move janitorial supplies, trash bags, cleaning equipment, and related materials as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive movements related to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and cleaning
- Ability to operate standard janitorial equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals while following proper safety protocols
- Ability to drive city vehicles as required
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor facility areas as needed
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment as needed
Salary Range: $20/hour
