The Senior SAP ABAP Consultant is responsible for leading the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of custom software solutions within the SAP ecosystem. This role requires a technical expert who can translate complex functional specifications into scalable, high-performance code. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience across core ABAP programming, Object-Oriented (OO) design, modern integration methodologies (OData/API), and S/4HANA code remediation.

Key Responsibilities
\n
1. Application Development & RICEFW Delivery
\n
• Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of complex RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) objects.
\n
• Design and implement robust solutions using Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP programming paradigms.
\n
• Develop custom enhancements utilizing classic and modern frameworks, including BAdIs, Explicit/Implicit Enhancement Points, and Business Add-Ins.
\n
2. S/4HANA Modernization & Optimization
\n
• Remediate, optimize, and upgrade legacy ABAP code to ensure seamless compatibility with the S/4HANA platform.
\n
• Utilize advanced performance optimization tools such as SAT, ABAP Trace, and SQL Trace (ST05) to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks.
\n
• Build advanced database abstractions using CDS Views (Core Data Services) and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) to leverage inline HANA computational power.
\n
3. Integration & Cloud Connectivity
\n
• Design and develop secure architecture interfaces utilizing OData Services (Gateway NW), REST/SOAP APIs, ALE/IDocs, and BAPIs.
\n
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants to support frontend SAP Fiori/UI5 application integration through optimized backend data provisioning.
\n
4. Technical Governance & Mentorship
\n
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and quality assurance checks to enforce SAP programming standards, security policies, and performance guidelines.
\n
• Author comprehensive technical design documentation, architecture maps, and unit testing strategies.
\n
• Provide technical mentorship, coaching, and guidance to junior and mid-level ABAP developers within the team.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications
\n
• Experience: Minimum 7–10 years of dedicated hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 2 full-lifecycle implementations or migrations involving S/4HANA.
\n
• HANA Architecture Expertise: Proficient in code-to-data paradigms, CDS Views, AMDP, and Open SQL performance tuning.
\n
• Interface Methodologies: Deep expertise in developing Gateway OData services, RFCs, BAPIs, and handling transactional IDoc monitoring/debugging.
\n
• Forms & Outputs: Advanced proficiency in designing output management solutions using Adobe Forms, SmartForms, and SAPscript.
\n
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills for cross-functional alignment, and a proven track record of working independently under tight project milestones.
