Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000

Job Summary:

As the Project Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting project planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting, and project performance across multiple telecommunications construction projects. You will coordinate with project teams, finance, engineering, construction, contractors, and clients to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality objectives. As the Project Controls Specialist, your customers are internal project teams, field operations, contractors, and clients, and you will make meaningful contributions to the company's success through accurate project controls, proactive communication, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):

• Support project planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting, and reporting activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

• Coordinate with project teams, finance, engineering, construction, suppliers, and contractors to collect project data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate project documentation.

• Prepare and maintain project schedules, cost reports, performance metrics, milestone tracking, and management reports using project management tools.

• Facilitate project meetings, communicate project status, risks, milestones, and schedule updates to internal stakeholders, contractors, and clients.

• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or risks, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

• Assist in developing standardized project controls procedures, reporting processes, and data management practices to improve project performance and operational efficiency.

• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.

Required Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in project controls, project scheduling, or construction project management.

• Experience supporting telecommunications, utility, engineering, or construction projects.

• Experience utilizing project scheduling and reporting software.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Smartsheet, and other project management software.

• Strong understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, and construction management principles.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

• Ability to analyze project performance, identify risks, and recommend solutions to maintain project objectives.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting broadband, telecommunications, or utility infrastructure projects.

• Experience with project financial reporting, forecasting, and cost analysis.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project controls certifications.

• Advanced experience with project scheduling and reporting tools.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work in both office and field environments for extended periods.

• Occasional travel to project sites as needed.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
