Lead Maintenance Technician – HVAC Certified | Oldsmar, FL

Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a multifamily apartment community in Oldsmar, FL. This leadership role is ideal for a motivated maintenance professional with strong HVAC knowledge, apartment maintenance experience, and the ability to lead daily maintenance operations while providing exceptional service to residents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist the maintenance team with daily operations and work assignments.
  • Perform HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and system replacements.
  • Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee apartment make-readies to ensure units are prepared for new move-ins.
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance throughout the community.
  • Assist in maintaining pools, common areas, and community amenities as needed.
  • Identify and report safety concerns while ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Coordinate with the Property Manager and Regional Maintenance team regarding maintenance priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and inventory.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies.

Qualifications

  • EPA Universal HVAC Certification is required.
  • Previous experience as a Lead Maintenance Technician or extensive apartment maintenance experience is required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of multifamily apartment maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and appliance repair.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues independently.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) Certification is a plus.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
