A rapidly growing robotics and warehouse automation company in the Greater Boston area is hiring a full-time Software Engineering Manager, Motion Planning to lead and scale a team developing advanced motion planning software for industrial robotic systems. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and robotics software development, with a focus on motion planning, robotic manipulation, controls algorithms, simulation, and production deployment. Required Skills & Experience \n

· 5+ years of experience in robotics software development
\n · 2+ years of experience managing or leading engineering teams
\n · Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
\n · Experience with ROS or other robotics software frameworks
\n · Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, coaching, and technical leadership
\n · Strong understanding of robotics software development lifecycle and best practices
\n · Experience collaborating across product, software, and hardware teams
\n · Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
\n · Experience troubleshooting complex robotic systems and software issues

Desired Skills & Experience \n

· Knowledge of motion planning algorithms such as RRT, trajectory optimization, and model predictive control (MPC)
\n · Experience with robotic manipulators and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)
\n · Familiarity with simulation platforms such as Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar tools
\n · Experience deploying robotics software into production environments
\n · Strong understanding of controls systems and robotic autonomy architectures
\n · Experience working in warehouse automation, logistics, or industrial robotics environments
\n · Passion for staying current with emerging robotics research and technologies
\n · Experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments
