Job DescriptionVirtual Server Administrator – Quantico VA
Requirement 958982Clearance: Secret w/SSBI
Essential Functions:
- Under general supervision, manage and operate a virtualized Microsoft environment.
- Perform daily system checks, review and respond to events reflected in various management tools, perform server patch management.
- Notify Government representative of issues involving performance of the operating environment.
- Conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required to ensure system health.
- Coordinate efforts with other work centers and personnel to resolve incidents or events related to systems and supporting infrastructure.
Technical Skills Required:
- Active Directory
- Clustering,
- Domain Name System, and
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
- Knowledge of and adherence to change control standards and procedures, problem resolution, and troubleshooting techniques,
- Use of remote server management tools.
Pre-Requisites:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current DoD Secret clearance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work is performed in 24/7 environment and must be able to work second/third shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Five to nine (5‐9) years of experience required.
- Must possess VMware Certified Associate (VCA) certification.
- Must obtain VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification within 6 months.
- Certified in accordance with DoD 8570.01‐M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II – Security+
