The Groundsman plays a vital role in maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor spaces through consistent, year-round upkeep. This position focuses on the daily trimming and removal of trees and shrubs, operating equipment such as chainsaws and trimmers, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Working within a small team, the Groundsman contributes to the upkeep and beautification of various grounds with moderate physical labor involved.
Responsibilities
- Trim and remove large and small trees and shrubs
- Operate chainsaws, trimmers, and other groundskeeping equipment safely
- Perform daily site maintenance tasks to ensure clean and safe grounds
- Comply with all safety procedures and regulations during operations
- Conduct site cleanup after maintenance activities
- Work collaboratively within a small team environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of tree trimming techniques
- Familiarity with shrub and plant identification
- Experience operating groundskeeping equipment
- Understanding of safety procedures related to grounds maintenance
