ROLE SUMMARY

Provide general maintenance and facilities work for Regents School of Austin.

  • Maintain clear communication channels to the students, employees, and parents

  • Be able to manage the flow of paperwork in an orderly manner

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Set up and break down furniture, equipment, and spaces for meetings, events, and school programs.

    • Perform routine building and grounds maintenance, including minor repairs and upkeep.

    • Restock paper goods, cleaning supplies, and other necessary materials.

    • Conduct minor building repairs such as plumbing, painting, electrical work, and hardware installation.

    • Assemble, move, and maintain furniture and equipment.

    • Assist with security needs during building opening and closing, and help monitor campus access points.

    • Inspect buildings, playgrounds, and grounds; report or repair minor issues.

    • Install or maintain items such as pictures, mirrors, whiteboards, projector screens, and dispensers.

    • Manage and prioritize work orders efficiently.

    • Perform cleaning or janitorial duties as needed.

    • Provide oversight and guidance to temporary or contracted laborers.

    • Report maintenance issues requiring specialized service.

    • Be available by cell phone during work hours for urgent needs.

    • Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor



SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to operate light mechanical equipment, including riding lawn mowers, hand tools, power tools, and pressure washers.

  • Experience with general household or commercial building repairs.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting maintenance plans, safety rules, operating instructions, diagrams, and manuals.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

  • Dependable, quick learner, and demonstrates a respectful attitude.

  • Current Texas Driver's License with the ability to drive cars, trucks, and non-commercial vans.

Nashville Statement: A Coalition for Biblical Sexuality - This was adopted by the Board in 2019 as clarifying language on our view of biblical sexuality.
