Job Description
As a Security Officer Entry Screening Driver in Corpus Christi, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, log visitor and/or contractor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or other security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and access points, remaining aware of changing conditions in an industrial environment.
- Support vehicle and pedestrian screening processes, observe deliveries and/or restricted area access, and document daily activities, incidents, and unusual conditions in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
