Anchorage and Eagle River, Alaska
Full-Time | $25–$30 per hour

True Summit Property Services is hiring an experienced Residential Maintenance Technician to complete repairs and preventative maintenance at residential properties throughout Anchorage and Eagle River.

This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and completing a variety of hands-on projects. Work may include minor plumbing repairs, drywall, painting, carpentry, minor electrical work, appliance troubleshooting, and preparing vacant units for new residents.

Responsibilities

  • Complete residential maintenance and repair work orders

  • Diagnose and repair basic plumbing and electrical issues

  • Perform drywall repair, painting, carpentry, and hardware replacement

  • Repair doors, locks, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, and appliances

  • Complete unit-turn repairs and preventative maintenance

  • Document labor, materials, photos, and completed work using company software

  • Communicate professionally with residents, coworkers, and property managers

  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles

  • Participate in a rotating emergency on-call schedule

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of maintenance, remodeling, construction, handyman, or related experience preferred

  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and painting

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and manage multiple work orders

  • Comfortable using smartphones and digital work-order systems

  • Professional, dependable, and respectful when working in occupied homes

  • Valid Alaska driver’s license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to pass a background check

Experience in property maintenance is helpful, but candidates with strong residential repair, remodeling, or construction experience are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements

Applicants must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, work in crawlspaces, kneel, bend, and work outdoors in Alaska weather.
