Location: Phoenix Ice Cream Plant – Phoenix, AZ
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- 8-hour shifts
- Onsite, 5–6 days/week
- Must be flexible to work weekends and overtime during peak season.
Duration: Contract with strong potential for extension and full-time conversion based on performance.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting production equipment, supporting TPM and RCM initiatives, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and GMP compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and resolve breakdowns.
- Support TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs.
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints and maintenance procedures.
- Follow SOPs, GMPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and safety regulations.
- Maintain maintenance areas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance technician experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred if no diploma/GED).
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, valves, actuators, gaskets, seals, and HTST processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Basic computer skills; Microsoft Office and Teams are a plus.
- Electrical troubleshooting and PLC knowledge preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots.
