Property Manager – Tax Credit Community
Alton, Texas
We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a tax credit community in Alton, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, leasing, customer service, and property management experience, along with a thorough understanding of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the property’s daily operations, leasing activities, and resident relations.
- Maintain compliance with all LIHTC requirements, including income certifications, annual recertifications, and resident file documentation.
- Review applications and supporting documentation to confirm household eligibility.
- Ensure resident files are accurate, complete, organized, and audit-ready.
- Monitor occupancy, delinquency, collections, renewals, and overall property performance.
- Supervise, train, and support onsite office and maintenance team members.
- Prepare required reports, budgets, invoices, and property documentation.
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance needs.
- Provide professional and timely service to residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.
- Follow company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local housing regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous property management experience is required.
- Tax credit/LIHTC experience is required.
- Knowledge of income certifications, recertifications, compliance documentation, and resident file audits.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
- Property management software experience is preferred; AppFolio experience is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
