  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automation issues.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of CNC machines, forging equipment, heat treat furnaces, compressors, pumps, hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, and other production equipment.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production, Engineering, and Operations to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance programs are completed on schedule and documented accurately.
  • Manage maintenance work orders, equipment histories, spare parts inventory, and CMMS activities.
  • Support equipment installations, machinery upgrades, facility improvements, and capital projects.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and all environmental and safety requirements.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime, PM completion rates, response times, and maintenance costs.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the maintenance department.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2–5+ years of experience leading or supervising maintenance personnel.
  • Experience within aerospace, forging, steel, metal fabrication, or other heavy manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial control systems.
  • Experience maintaining CNC machining centers, hydraulic presses, furnaces, overhead cranes, compressors, pumps, conveyors, and related manufacturing equipment.
  • Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems including 480V, motor controls, VFDs, relays, and sensors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation systems, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor relationships.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
