Job Title: Field Engineer
Location: North Syracuse, NY (Onsite)
Payrate: $25/Hr
We are seeking a Field Engineer to provide onsite support for laptop and desktop computer repairs throughout the North Syracuse metro area. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on computer repair experience who enjoys working independently and traveling to customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to diagnose and repair laptops and desktop computers.
- Replace hardware components including hard drives, motherboards, keyboards, and other PC parts.
- Perform complete system swaps when necessary.
- Install and replace computer peripherals.
- Accurately document work performed and close service tickets using a company-provided mobile device.
- Deliver professional customer service while meeting service response times.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands-on laptop and desktop break-fix experience.
- Experience building or repairing computers is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and basic software issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
Requirements
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid auto insurance.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout the North Syracuse metro area and surrounding locations.
- Must be able to pass a background check and any required customer or government security clearances.
