Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Join Our Night Shift Maintenance Team

We're looking for experienced Maintenance Technicians to help keep our manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently. If you enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a hands-on role where you'll work on advanced production equipment, respond to equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, and help improve the overall reliability of our operation.

Schedule

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Our team works a 12-hour Continental (2-2-3) schedule, giving you a predictable rotation and every other weekend off.

Schedule Example

Week 1

  • Work: Monday & Tuesday
  • Off: Wednesday & Thursday
  • Work: Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2

  • Off: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
  • Work: Thursday & Friday
  • Off: Saturday & Sunday

What You'll Do

Every day is a little different, but your responsibilities may include:

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, and power transmission equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V, including motor controls, VFDs, relays, and contactors.
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Complete maintenance work orders and document repairs accurately.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Participate in equipment installations, shutdowns, and continuous improvement projects.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for technicians who enjoy solving problems and can work independently while supporting a team environment.

Preferred Experience

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and automated production systems
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with motors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Food manufacturing or packaging experience is preferred but not required

Leadership Opportunities

This is a senior-level position where you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead complex equipment repairs and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Help identify root causes of recurring equipment issues.
  • Recommend improvements that increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Support equipment installations and plant improvement projects.
  • Mentor and share knowledge with other maintenance technicians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical or trade school education in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, kneel, and work around industrial equipment throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery and electrical equipment
