As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Unarmed Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, perimeter zones, and other restricted areas to help identify and report potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and help verify authorized entry of personnel, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with site policies and government-related protocols.
- Support daily operations by reporting hazards, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations, while maintaining a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- A TSA issued TWIC is required.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
